He also said that the influence from the nordic countries in Rational is very strong. Ivar Jacobson and many other are today working in Rational over there, and we as customers should know that our opinion can have good effect on Rational products.
Anders said also that Rational now have focus on e-buissnes and internet. Rational Software, the e-development company, dec 15 launched the Rational Unified Partner Program to extend its e-development services and products, further enabling customers to meet the need for building higher quality Internet software in less time.

He also wanted more co-operating with RAIN, e g coordinating the participating in Rational User Conferense i Philadelfia, Aug 2000 or to take the best seminaries to Sweden later in the autumn för a one-day RAIN-meeting. The RAIN boarder will discuss this on next meeting.
Next speaker was Kent Strömvall, talking about RAIN. He
said that the association now has grown to 370 members. He also mentioned some
of the board activities and that they are constantly looking for speakers, If

Rose is now improving the support for implementers, with new code-generation functions and the possibilaty to see how a model-information is implemented in code. Improved model templates and patterns for ATL, collections, MTS and others are included and Rose has now better support for web development. Rose 2000 is now announced in a beta program.
Next speaker was Maria Ericsson. She is a part of the team that develops the Rational Unified Process and together with Ivar Jacobson co-author of the book "The Object Advantage". She has worked as a mentor with customers of Objectory and Rational for four and a half years in the US, but is since January -99 based in Sweden again.
Maria's presentation covered the news in the 5.5 release of Ratinal Unified Process (RUP), which is shipped very soon. The most important news is more web-development, better implementation in organization, better project management and re-designed workflows.
She also talked about the goals for RUP, a support for everyone in software development. Other goals is that the process will handle all the best practices in real development, that the process will be more easy to use (to search and find information) and more easy to costumize.The future of RUP after 5.5 will have o focus on web-based development, architecture, components, legacy systems, buissnes engineering, user inteface and process customization, probably with some form of process medeling tool together with database-produced information on web.
The last speaker - Jan Nordén, Senior Software Architect, BoldSoft AB talked about implementing UML at runtime and how to use the programming language to supplement UML in areas like Action semantics and GUI design. He talked about model-driven object representation and persistence and gave a demonstration of how to directly execute a Rose model using the tool ModelRun.
Jan Nordén is a Senior Software Architect at BoldSoft AB. He has spent most of his 20 years in the industry developing and enhancing tools, from compilers, via extensions To 4-GL tools, via code-generated frameworks to model-driven frameworks.
